Today 2.03.09 solidarity vegan voku with Barcelona (Catalonia) "Days on prison & state repression" of 6, 7 and 8 of March. The voku will be placed at the new Joe's Garage ( 3€ or donation, food will be ready around 19.30 H!).
As every monday, the beukenweg cooking brigade will serve nice vegan food at the new joe's garage for 3€ or donation. All benefits will be destinated to many different social causes and struggles, giving some flyers and general info about the organisations or events we are supporting with each voku.
Place: New Joe's Garage (Pretoriusstraat 43).
Price: 3€ or donation.

"As history has shown, if it's slightly subversive, any criticism and direct practice against the structure of the dominant society will be attacked in a more or less agressive way by the repressive forces which support the system. The police and judicial apparatus will be deployed to punish, lecture and weaken dissidence by all the means, in most cases economic pressure, violence and / or imprisonment. Because of this facts, it's essential, both from a strategic and from a defensive perspective, to know this reality and learn to respond to the possible consequences that this entails: making solidarity to become more than just one word.
This is why it was decided to organize this Days on prison and State repression, inviting different individuals and groups which, from inside and outside the prisons, are developing an antirepressive task and can provide useful knowledge and tools for reflection and debate, and to inform about cases of convicted or repressed comrades who need our support and solidarity.

The planned activities which will take place in the Ateneu Llibertari del Besòs (Barcelona) include conferences with people coming from all over Spain, infoevenings, workshops, theater sketches, movies and documentaries, vegan dinners, etc.
