Petitie tegen sloopt ’t Kleine Wijk

Terwijl de strijd voor het behoud van ’t Kleine Wijk haar climax nadert vieren de bewoners kerst. Door een ‘communicatie foutje’ tussen Mitros en SSH staat 2/3 van de wijk leeg. Ondertussen wachten bewoners met vertrouwen op de VoVo, aanstaande vrijdag. Teken de on- line petitie op http://ondiep.floep.nl/petitie en steun de strijd tegen sloop.

Stop de sloop

’t Kleine Wijk in Ondiep is een historisch stukje Utrecht dat door de sloopwoede van corporaties en gemeente dreigt te verdwijnen. Al jaren proberen bewoners tevergeefs de politiek van de behoudenswaardigheid van deze unieke wijk te overtuigen. De unieke cultuurhistorische waarde van ’t Kleine Wijk wordt breed erkend. Desondanks weigert de politiek tot nu toe ieder onderzoek hiernaar. Met het verlenen van de sloopvergunning ontstaat nu pas de gelegenheid een dergelijk onderzoek af te dwingen.

Ondertussen zet Mitros alles op alles bewoners het leven zuur te maken. Zo’n honderd woningen staan leeg, ‘toevallig’vooral in het deel waar nog oud- bewoners zitten. Onder zware druk heeft de SSH haar huurders al in november gedwongen te verhuizen, terwijl de Mitros had toegezegd dat alle tijdelijke bewoners tot begin januari kunnen blijven. Als klap op de vuurpijl heeft Mitros besloten de 75 betaalbare woningen uit de nieuwbouw te schrappen voor 25 stadsvilla’s.

Toch hebben bewoners de sfeer er goed ingebracht. Met honderden meters kerstverlichting is de wijk ondanks de leegstand levendig en gezellig. Om de sloop tegen te houden zal vrijdag 28 december om 14:00 een rechtszaak dienen in Utrecht. Iedereen kan helpen, door net als honderden anderen de on- line petitie te tekenen op:
