 Laten we ook niet even vergeten dat Plasterk als technobioloog een groot voorstander is van dierproeven! Hij heeft de laatste jaren in zijn columns laten weten geen respect te hebben voor dierenrechten en stelt de wetenschapsmens boven aan de foodchain. Hij is tegen Intelligent Design maar is er van overtuigd dat de mens God moet en kan vervangen.
