Bijeenkomst in A'dam over Wereld Sociaal Forum

Komende zaterdag start in Nairobi (Kenia) het zevende Wereld Sociaal
Forum (WSF). Het Nederland Sociaal Forum organiseert daarom op woensdag 7
februari een bijeenkomst met Nederlandse deelnemers aan het WSF die
verslag doen van hun ervaringen.

Wereldbol op WSF

- Datum: Woensdag 7 februari.
- Tijd: 20 - 22 uur.
- Locatie: Emotive-gebouw
- Adres: Spuistraat 239 (vlakbij de Dam), Amsterdam.

Op de bijeenkomst zijn videoverslagen te zien van het WSF en er is een
paneldiscussie. De avond is een voorbereiding op de Top van Onderop die
op 20 mei zal plaatsvinden rond het Leidseplein in Amsterdam.

Wereld Sociaal Forum in Afrika.

Het Wereld Sociaal Forum is begonnen als de sociale tegenhanger van het
Wereld Economisch Forum in Davos. In dat Zwitserse kuuroord strijkt
binnenkort ook weer de economische elite van de wereld neer om er samen
met politici te discussiëren over de toestand van de wereld. Het WSF is
uitgegroeid tot het jaarlijkse alternatief van andersglobalisten. In
2001 s het WSF in Brazilie begonnen. Op de massale bijeenkomsten komen meer dan honderdduizend andersglobalisten bij elkaar om te praten over een
meer rechtvaardige vorm van mondialisering en een duurzame, vreedzame andere wereld.
