 Een groot strandfeest in Zanzibar ter ere van de overleden Queen-zanger Freddie Mercury moet worden afgelast. Dat heeft een plaatselijke moslimleider donderdag gezegd. Volgens de man, Azan Khalid, heeft Mercury zich met zijn flamboyante levensstijl onislamitisch gedragen en zou het beledigend zijn voor de moslimgemeenschap in Zanzibar om hem op welke manier dan ook met hen in verband te brengen.
