Zondagnacht is de 21ste editie van het Landjuweel Festival te Ruigoord, Amsterdam afgesloten met de traditionele 'beeldenroute'. Het thema was dit jaar 'Fair Energy' en het is gelukt dit festival voor het grootste deel op zelf opgewekte energie via wind, zon en fiets te laten draaien. Onlangs het slechte weer trok het festival dit jaar bijna net zoveel bezoekers als vorig jaar.

Radio Ruigoord blijft de komende dagen in de lucht met impressies van Landjuweel 2006 (stroom onderbrekingen voorbehouden)

Een groot aantal bezoekers had eigen zonnepanelen, windmolentjes en zwarte
douchezakken mee genomen. Naast de officiele optredens van voornamelijk wereldmuziek en locatietheater waren er veel spontane acts, jamsessions en mystery guests.

Het was mogelijk de laatste Landjuweel hier, want de Gemeente Amsterdam wil grote olieopslagtanks toelaten op het nu nog braakliggende terrein naast Ruigoord en de Afrikahaven.

Radio Ruigoord is te ontvangen op 90.3 FM op het Landjuweel Festival terrein en online via
