 Het hoort allemaal bij het 'uithollings-proces' waarbij imperia zoals bijvoorbeeld het hedendaagse Amerikaanse 'olie imperium', zich in toenemende mate zwaar bewapend en zo sterk mogelijk poogt op te stellen ten opzichte van de rest van de wereld terwijl het tegelijkertijd van binnen uit steeds verder weg rot en zwakker wordt.
Om de vreemde politieke gebeurtenissen en de gedachtengang in Amerika en de rest van de wereld te kunnen interpreteren is het handig om dit uithollingsproces eerst beter te begrijpen.
Dit begrip kan ons ook helpen bij de vorming van fundamenteel andere waarden, die nodig zullen zijn om te herstellen van de ramkoers waarop deze aardkloot zich bevindt.
