De maandag van het pinksterweekend. Het broeinest organiseert een luchtig filmprogramma. U kunt (*) genieten van verschillende filmpjes uit de Creature Comforts-serie van Nick Park en (nog niet eerde vertoond!) de hilarische documentaire Stupidity van Alfred Nerenberg.
'Creature Comforts' (2003) is a 'mockumentary' clay-mation cartoon that breaks all the rules of animated TV - no story lines, no heroes, no villains, and an entirely anonymous cast of voice-overs.
Originally created by the Plasticene King of Animation Nick Park (Wallace & Gromit), each 10 minute long episode revolves around a parody of interviews in which animals of all shapes and sizes finally get to have their say on life, the universe and everything; be it the circus, medicine, evolution or the meaning of life, and the dialogue is entirely extracted from unscripted interviews with real people. Nerenberg heeft in zijn film Stupidity onderzocht hoe het komt dat politiek en media steeds stompzinniger worden en komt met opmerkelijke conclusies ("Stupidity has a jokey tone, but its ultimate goal is serious: to encourage people to question why intelligence is so poorly valued while idiocy is seen as funny, sexy and cool.")
