solidarity for G8 process Aubonne Support Group - 15.02.2006 10:37
Next thursday or friday the verdict will come for the policemen that have been causing physical harm to G8 protestors. There is a good chance that the police who nearly killed Martin and Gesine at the G8 summit in 2003 will be found innocent by the Swiss Court. In Switzerland a policeman has a 3% chance to be charged with violent attacks, and only 0.080% are ever found guilty. If it happens in the Aubonne case that the police are found innocent of the minimal charge of "Unintentional Bodily Harm", we are calling upon our friends across the world to make some kind of demonstration or action at your national Swiss Embassy. People can also make phone call complaints, or send protest emails and faxes. Unfortunately, there are not many of us here in Switzerland, so we hope you can find some mates there who can organise something at your national Swiss Embassy office. If you can, please send us your contact point, and we will use our small team to put the info for your local demo on our web-site, and to coordinate with others. We think at this point that the verdict will come Thursday or early Friday. If the cops are found innocent, we urge our friends to chose whatever time is practical for you to make the demo on Friday. We will immediately update the www.aubonnebridge.net web-site with the verdict, and the contact phone here is: +41 (0)765406395. A list of Swiss Embassy contact info for Europe is: http://www.eda.admin.ch/repadd/g/home/emb/kontinent1.html Please check our web-site for more info, or send a contact for your local group. in solidarity, Aubonne Support Group Website: http://www.aubonnebridge.net/ |
