Made in 1971, not shown again until 2004, Punishment Park is a shocking pseudo-documentary with a scaring relevance to today's society. The US government has created punishment parks to deal with political activists and solve the problem of crowded prisons and growing socio-political tensions. Released for the first time in more than 30 years, with a 2003 introduction by the director, this is a film everybody concerned about state repression should see.
