 Het heeft er alle schijn van dat de ontruiming inderdaad op een belachelijke manier is gebeurd. Aan de andere kant moet wel aangetekend worden dat Welschap een broeinestje voor vage dope hoofden was en met kraken weinig van doen had. Toen het Eindhovens kraakspreekuur nog bestond weigerden ze zelfs om Welschap krakers nog te helpen omdat dat alleen maar leidde tot uitgewoonde panden en bevestiging van alle vooroordelen over krakers die je maar kunt bedenken.
