Sugarbelly Records is een nieuw en innovatief Nederlands 'Do It Yourself' label dat zich voornamelijk richt op Breakbeat. Daarnaast houden we ons ook bezig met andere projecten. Zoals de productie en uitgave van een cd met kinderliedjes en het uitbrengen van vernieuwend
band materiaal, zoals dat van de band OCEAN.
Sugarbelly Records Pers Release
Sugarbelly Records is een nieuw en innovatief Nederlands label, dat werd opgericht door het breakbeat duo U-monks. De aanpak van Label manager Jelto van Nieuwburg sluit aan bij de nieuwe digitale ontwikkelingen die momenteel plaatsvinden in de muziekindustrie.
De mogelijkheden van het internet lijken eindeloos, Sugarbelly Records speelt daarop in door grote distributiedeals aan te gaan met bedrijven als Apple iTunes, Sony en Napster.
Sugarbelly brengt haar eerste single (“Oi!”) eerst exclusief uit op beatport.com, een belangrijke internet distributeur op het gebied van dance. Later dit jaar wordt deze single op vinyl uitgebracht en zal bij diverse platenzaken verkrijgbaar zijn.
Ook wordt er gewerkt aan materiaal van de band Ocean, dat in 2006 zal worden uitgebracht. Hopelijk zullen het label en de artiesten groeien zodat het in de toekomst nieuw talent een kans kan bieden.
Het belangrijkste uitgangspunt van Sugarbelly Records is kwaliteits muziek uitbrengen voor een groeiend publiek, via het internet en reguliere winkels. Het label is positief gestemd en hoopt dat zowel hun muziek als hun ideeën aanslaan.

Dutch Producer/DJ duo Jelto van Nieuwburg and Bastiaan Bakker, aka U-monks, strike hard with slamming breaks on their debut EP Oi! This floor filler is the first release on their indie label Sugarbelly Records. It's clear that this label aims for quality. Much more to be expected from these lads in the near future.
