A Call to Action ( Bush <> Chavez)
Verzet_nu - 30.08.2005 23:24

On more then one occasion US goverment officials publically spoke out against the goverment of Venezuela, and in peticular against president Chavez. But Liberty begins with respecting the choses that people make, wheather it is religion of a political system. Any country that does not respect this basic principal should be barred from the UN, should be economically sanctioned and should be brought to justice and, if it is a structural "illness", if need be by force.

"A call to action"

Recently I read an article about the Bush's stand towards the Chavez goverment in Venezuela. On more then one occasion US goverment officials publically spoke out against the goverment of Venezuela, and in peticular against president Chavez. Robertson, as a extention of the Bush camp, only sayd plainly that which is the overall feeling in the Bush administration towards Chavez.

"In fact, his comments were merely a more vitriolic version of what the Bush administration has been saying for some time, with declarations to "contain" Chavez and the funneling of millions of dollars to opposition groups within the country. The White House even supported a 2002 military coup, before popular uprisings restored Chavez to power. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and now Robertson are all in their own ways trying to build the case that Chavez is a menace, a danger to democracy and a source of instability in the region."

The problem however is that, should I say "again", the US is ignoring the fact that this Venezuela president is democratically elected. I think that it's about time someone started saying openly about the Bush presidency what was sayd by Robertson in regard to Chavez. All hell would break loss in an instand and the CIA would be knocking at the persons door within 48 hours to bring that person to "justice".

"So while Venezuela sows its oil, Washington is sowing the seeds to unseat Chavez. It is building up the case for invasion, a coup or an assassination. If, for many of us, Robertson's comments were the first we registered of this positioning, it is not the first for Venezuelans, who speak often of being the potential next battleground, overt or covert, in the United States' deceptive and never-ending "war on terrorism.""

It's no real wonder that some people are willing to take up arms against this dominating world power which oviously does not know how to controle its power and is using it, in the name of liberty and justice, to evil means. Liberty begins with respecting the choses that people make, wheather it is religion of a political system. Any country that does not respect this basic principal should be barred from the UN, should be economically sanctioned and should be brought to justice and, if it is a structural "illness", if need be by force.

"Let us be wary. Very. For those moving to vilify Chavez are the same people who knowingly lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, who used nonexistent uranium to justify a war in which tens of hundreds of young Americans and countless Iraqis have died."

So before more innocent people die, Venezuelan in this case but next it might be you or me, we ALL should stand up against this evil and kick them out of the White house for good!
