Een kleine update van wat gezond protest in het buitenland

Eerder werd er volkomen willekeurig melding gemaakt van wat acties over de grens (

De bezetting van het kantoor van de gouverneur van Tennessee gaat immers nog gewoon door (

http://www.mcil.org/mcil/log/2005/080205s.asp) en is nu aan z'n 44e dag bezig. De actie is het werk van opstandige gehandicapten. De gouverneur heeft zojuist een streep gezet door het hulppakket van zo'n 300.000 zorgbehoevenden in zijn staat. Zie voor alle details de website van MCIL:

Ook het verzet tegen de ontbossing in Biscuit (VS) gaat nog steeds door.

Maar plezieriger nieuws is er te melden van de gentechactivisten die op 30/31 juli geprobeerd hebben openlijk een veld gentechmais te rooien in Strausberg, vlak boven Berlijn. Zo'n 400 mensen hebben kat-en-muis gespeeld met honderden politieagenten. (

http://germany.indymedia.org/2005/08/124277.shtml). Die hadden ME'ers (te paard), tankdozers, helikopters en honden tot hun beschikking. Desondanks lukte het om een deel van het maisveld plat te stampen. De actie was het initiatief van een imker en lokale bioboeren (

http://www.gendreck-weg.de/). Een 62-jarige vrouw werd door politiehond gebeten en 70 mensen werden opgepakt. Maar, verklaarden de actievoerders desondanks monter, dit is maar het begin, we zullen die troep echt niet met rust laten.

Verder kan er nog gewezen worden op de heldhaftige daad van een 39-jarige Britse hacker die naar de VS uitgewezen dreigt te worden omdat hij 97 legercomputers gehacked heeft om daar onwelgevallige boodschappen achter te laten.
