Welcome to gayshame.org
This site will serve to archive, inform and encourage interaction on topics ranging from
regional gay shame actions and events, anti-consumerism, disenfranchised
queer youth and radical queer activism (whose roots lie in the famous and everyday acts of queer resistance
to police brutality - ie. Stonewall Riots, Compton Cafeteria Riots, etc).
Gay Shame continues this legacy by calling attention to the increasingly conservative concerns of
the gay mainstream, which sees assimilation into the dominant culture (at any cost) as the primary goal
of queer struggle.
We welcome contributions and comments from
everyone. Posts in any language welcome.

Ik vraag me af of er weleens naar oost Europa wordt gekeken?
Zo is 2 jaar geleden in Belgrado de pride uitelkaar gemept door een menigte die o.a. geleid wordt door de pateriarchen van de Orthodoxe kerk aldaar en is om een homosexuele of lesbische manier samenwonen zo goed als onmogelijk. Het zegt al genoeg over de situatie aldaar. Ook in andere v.m. Oostblok landen is het vaak niet beter gesteld.
