nare dingen in Vieques (antilles)but in english sorry......S.O.S I would like to express thank you's to the island of Vieques and it's people, as well as the people of Puerto Rico and the rest of the world, for helping us commercialize our cause, bringing acknowledgement of these horrible acts against humans on the island of Vieques. In Puerto Rico, we have a number of workers from the P.N.P. (Partido Nuevo Progresista, in English, Puerto Rican Pro Statehood Political Party) who don't care about the people of Vieques; starting with Leo Diaz, Misla Aldarondo, Kenneth McLintock, Parga, La Potra Romero, Dona Eleuteria Ferrer and others who ignore and don't care about the people of Vieques but are against the movement as if they benefit from the Navy's bombings. Please, Viequense (a person from Vieques), think about our cause again; think about your brother's and sister's that are dying of Cancer, Lupus, Renal sickness, High Blood pressure caused by the chemicals used by the Navy and it's allies (meaning countries that practice on the island of Vieques by renting the space out to the U.S., but yet the people of Vieques get nothing in return). We have to confirm, that those who ignore the cause (politicians) are as criminal as the Navy itself. We also have Don Eleuterio Sanchez in Vieques and his followers, who walk away from our cause and our feelings in order to please the Navy, it's allies and their exercises. Viequense, look and analyze the game the U.S. is playing: it is a game of baseball but with a Bully (the U.S.) calling the shots. Of course, every other kid (allied countries) is a poor follower of the bully, who does everything the U.S. tells it to do or else the bully takes away the ball. Look, that kid simply wants to take the ball out of our ball park (Vieques), that being Roosevelt Roads, Buchanan, and Ramey field (all U.S. armed forces stations) because we refuse to let him play as he wants to. But the truth is, we don't benefit, only suffer from, the game he wants to play. Wake up Viequense! Don't let this bully intimidate you, don't let him do what he wants to do with you. We're Puerto Rican-American and we have the right to defend ourselves against this monster. We have the right to defend ourselves from these diseases caused by their little war games. Let's send this bully elsewhere and let him play the game with the people he loves, not the one's he doesn't care about. In an attempt to wake up the people of Puerto Rico, I ask you "Boricua" (a Puerto Rican), to keep an eye out for the P.N.P., a party that is still suffering because it got beaten by a woman (Sila Calderon, Gov. of Puerto Rico and so far the hardest worker Puerto Rico has seen) who fought and is still fighting to help Puerto Rico. But these people (The P.N.P.) keep bombing her with criticism over actions for Vieques like the one a couple of weeks ago at the Ecumenica Church, where they bombed her as if she were Vieques itself. On July 29th, we will show this bully we don't want him here by voting yes on #2 on our ballots and that way sending him with his little bombs out to the White House yard or Buckingham Palace. Let's see how they like it! Thank You, A Proud Viequense. This letter was writen by an anonymous citizen on the island of Vieques, who asked me personally to hand it out to as many people as possible, in order to contribute to the cause. It was originally written in Spanish, but I tried my best in translating to English. What stunned me about my visit to Vieques, was the fact that it's not only the U.S. who practices on the island of Vieques. Other countries such as Holland (which i have an article that was not published worldwide, about an incident that took place several years ago, which involved some Hollandese soldiers and some citizens of Vieques), England and most recently Venezuela, rent this spot out to the U.S. Navy, but yet the people of Vieques get absolutely nothing in return but Cancer and other diseases. If you're reading this and you are as concerned as I am about this matter, I as well as the poeple of Puerto Rico(especially Vieques) ask that you visit your local armed forces station and protest the bombings that are going on on the island of Vieques. If your country is an ally of the U.S., there is a huge chance your country has bombed the island of only 9000 citizens from which a high percentage (in the sense that even one percent is way too much) suffer from deadly diseases such as Cancer. Again, Thank You! |
