Antifa Riots in Madrid Madrileño - 25.10.2004 19:09
Here you have a link to a spanish autonomus page in which you could have a look to the pictures of the battle that last Saturday happened in Madrid between the anticapitalist demonstrators and the cops. Falange Española, a marginal fascist paolitical parti was going to celebrate a demo in front of the headquarters of the Socialdemocratica party in the government to claim for an enforcement of the antiinmigratory policies. Withe less time and money, antifa groups called for a contra-demo with the slogans of "the races don't divide us, the classes do" and "the enemy is not the inmigrant but the capitalist". 1500 people were at the antifa demo in a centric square 10 minutes walking from the fascists. The concentration was illegal so when people stopped the cars reclaiming the streets to march against the fascist, the cops, who attack usually the inmigrants but protect the nazis, appeared attacking the people. Barricades, fire, stones against cops and banks or inmobiliaries took the citi centre for almost an hour. There were 36 arrested (24 younger than 18) but they are free now waiting for the trial. I am afraid you won't understand nothing unlesss you spea=k spanish, but you can enjoy the pictures: http://www.lahaine.org/b2/articulo.php?p=4627&more=1&c=1 http://www.lahaine.org/b2/articulo.php?p=4638&more=1&c=1 No pasarán!!! On Thursday the fascist tried to celebrate a conference in the University of Madrid related again with the inmigration, and it was aborted due to the presence of 200 students shouting against racism in the faculties. The fascist had to escape protected by the cops while everybody were laughing of them. We have started to not tolerate any fascist activity, but they are only the mercenaries, our target is the capitalist system, the state and the alienated relationship mediated by mercancies.
