Twee buitenlandse taartacties en een tv-gids binnen vragen om uw aandacht.

Twee recente taarten, helaas moeten we ervoor naar het buitenland. In New York werd de anti-abortus ‘activist’ Randall Terry bestookt op 20 januari door de Newyorkse afdeling van de Biotic Bakers Brigade. Terry is oprichter van de anti-abortusorganisatie Operation Rescue en was een tijdje minder actief maar trad nu weer op als spreker voor een nieuwe organisatie, the Society for Truth and Justice. Aan de foto te zien (zie:

http://nyc.indymedia.org/newswire/display/85515/index.php) werd de taart niet echt een succes en raakte alleen het pak van de man besmeurd. Het gebruikte projectiel was een biologische slagroom-sjokolade-taart.
Een jaar of tien geleden was de man ook al eens getaart door de veteraan-taarter Aaron Kay.

Een dag later was het raak in het Verenigd Koninkrijk waar Paul Rylott (zie profiel:

http://www.gmwatch.org/profile1.asp?PrId=115) werd getaart terwijl hij net een toespraak had gehouden over hoe de gentechindustrie om moet gaan met verontruste consumenten. Rylott is een hoge gentechwetenschapper van Bayer Cropscience. Hij werd wel vol getroffen (door een chocolate fudge cake) terwijl hij in de rij stond voor de lunch. Er werden pamfletten uitgedeeld waarop te lezen stond dat de actie deel uitmaakte van een nationale campagne tegen Bayer en tegen de commercialisering van gentech. Zie hier de foto’s

In Nederland heeft de VPRO-gids deze week taarten als thema. (

http://www.vpro.nl/index/gids/index.shtml?2781170+10824338). De aanleiding is de hervatting van het onvolprezen programma “De Taart van Abel”. In dit programma bakt tv-bakker Abel steeds een feesttaart samen met een kind die de taart aan een speciaal iemand cadeua wil doen. Tijdens het bakken praten de twee uitgebreid met elkaar. Maar de VPRO-gids biedt allerlei informatie over taarten, waarbij het taarten gooien zeker niet vergeten wordt. Naast korte interviews met slachtoffers, worden er ook tips gegeven over hoe je het best een taartactie kunt uitvoeren, met illustratieve tekeningen van Aart Clerkx. Misschien nog het meest interessant is een stuk over taartgooien in de film. Zo leren we daar uit dat Stanley Kubrick zijn film Dr Strangelove had willen afsluiten met een allesverwoestende taartveldslag tussen de verschillende Amerikaanse militaire eenheden. Hij heeft ook een zo’n scene van 11 minuten gefilmd (er staat een foto van afgedrukt) maar producent Colombia weigerde om er genoeg geld aan te spenderen om het goed af te maken waarna Kubrick besloot het materiaal niet te gebruiken. Voor cinefiele taartgooiers (en dat zijn er nogal wat) een gedachte om de vingers bij af te likken.

ook heel blij dat die anti choice eikel getaart is die planned parenthood stond te zeuren.
planned parenthood is heel erg o.k. ze helpen vrouwen en ook mannen met talloze dingen, ook vragen over anticonceptie enzo.
