Adviseur Blair: "Irak-oorlog ging om olie"
03.05.2003 12:51

London, May 1 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. and U.K. went to war against Iraq because of the Middle East country's oil reserves, an adviser to British Prime Minister Tony Blair said.

Tony Blair's environmental advisor tells all on the Iraq war: yes, the war WAS about the oil, for the benefit of big oil monopolies. Why war criminals Bush and Blair repeatedly lied to the world about the WMD remains to be told.

Irak: olie was volgens adviseur Blair "heel grote factor" in Irak-oorlog

The Bush Administration maintains that the war is all about weapons that no one can find. Protestors and people around the world think it has a lot to do with what everyone already knows Iraq has and the US wants – oil.

War propels Exxon profits to record $7bn
03.05.2003 13:11

Friday May 2, 2003
The Guardian

"ExxonMobil, the world's biggest privately owned oil group and a target of street protesters, celebrated May Day by reporting the largest quarterly corporate profits in history at $7.04bn (£4.4bn).

The StopEsso campaign denied that the huge Exxon profits suggested its boycott was not working. "All you are seeing is the oil industry getting its first benefits from the war in Iraq. Our action has now spread to nine countries and in terms of brand damage we are winning," said a spokeswoman for the campaign."
