18.02.03 (Medaci) The Charity of Merrymen in Stresovice lost its case with the court of Prague 6. The verdict says that the collective must pay court fees and depart from the three houses in Stresovice which they have been using since 1998 without a rent contract. Statutory representatives of the Merrymen cleaned out all of their property from the houses today. However, they personally refuse to leave. They've started a new group, and are planning more cultural events. The ex-merrymen hope that with this step they will be able to show the absurdity of the fight with the city and save the cultural social project Alternative for Old Stresovice.

The city rented the Stresovice houses to Tomas Klima, who used to be the (unsuccessful) manager of the Akropolis. The city for Prague 6 says that Klima has a better project in mind, but they refuse to publicize the details, now it seems they have a reason: Klima's project is apparently of very poor quality, according to the Merrymen.
