End relations with the Islamic regime of Iran Worker-communist party of Iran - 10.02.2003 15:25
Report on 4 February demonstration against Kharazzi's visit to London WPI Briefing Number 94, Weekly of the Worker-communist Party of Iran http://www.wpibriefing.com 10 February 2003 The Worker-communist Party of Iran-British section held a successful demonstration in London on February 4 against the Islamic regime's foreign minister Kamal Kharazzi's visit to London and the wheeling and dealings between the UK government and Islamic regime at the expense of people's rights and demands. The demonstrators that assembled across from Chatham House, where a secret meeting between Kharazzi and politicians and others was held, raised their voices in unison to oppose UK government efforts to further ties with the brutal Islamic regime of Iran. During the two-day visit, Kharazzi also met with Tony Blair, Jack Straw and Donald Anderson. While protestors, many of whom were victims of the Islamic regime of Iran's repression, were surrounded by the police, and one was arrested, Kharazzi, guilty of crimes against humanity, walked about freely in Chatham House and was given the red carpet treatment in Downing Street. Despite this, the message of the protestors and speakers, namely Maryam Namazie and Bahram Soroush, was loud and clear. Bilateral talks and relations with the Islamic regime of Iran are indefensible, they condone, maintain and justify repression and they must end.
