Last night when the village Beekbergen was celebrating, we payed the
furfarm investigation institute ‘Spelderholt’ a visit. In this
institute ,according to themselves, they investigate the “well-being”
of furred animals on farms and they are looking into methods of getting
better fur of the animals. In other words they are looking into the
most economical way to get the best results (which causes the most
suffering in animals).
You can’t talk about “well-being” anyway because minks and foxes are
wild not domesticated animals which belong in the wild.
We found three sheds, half of them filled with breeding bitches. Every
one of them alone in a wired cage of 30 by 40 centimeter just like any
other fur farm. We took away a big part of the fence and took most of
the breedingcards. Suddenly a loud alarm went off what stopped us to do
more for the animals like releasing them. We left them with pain in our
hearts.
In the last years the politicians gave the impression that in the
nearby future the furfarms would be something from the past. They were
talking about this for a long time and for a moment there seemed to be
hope for the miljons of victims of the fur industry. But now with the
new government the minkfarmers are investigating again because they see
a the future.
The amount of minkfarms went from 250 to 200 but the amount of animals
increased from 2.5 to 3 miljon animals!In the last years the prices
raised with 5 to 10 procent.
The dutch furfarmers are the third biggest furproducer in the world.
We will do everything to stop a hopefull future for the furfarmers.
Our fire will only burn harder.
No animal should live in imprisonment!

zoals in de richtlijnen staat omschreven. Ten alle tijde worden
uiterste voorzorgsmaatregelen genomen om de veiligheid van mens en dier
te waarborgen.
