On Thursday, 23 May 2002, the Transnational Institute will host a public meeting on the Israeli-Palestinian war now raging, regional impacts and the respective policies and roles of the US and Europe - all within the context of the September 11 aftermath.
An excellent line-up of speakers includes journalist Phyllis Bennis of the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington and Jochen Hippler, author of "The Next Threat" and senior researcher at the Institute for Development and Peace at the University of Duisberg in Germany. The meeting will be chaired by Mariano Aguirre, Director of the Centre for Peace Studies in Madrid, Spain.
