The following press-statement came from the Police Amsterdam-Amstelland site. This morning around 3:30 the police leaded by the judge-commissaris and at the Spanish authorities request, did a raid at the Spuistraat 216-218, in Amsterdam better known as "Vrankrijk". The raid took place when the Spanish man, who was arrested yesterday afternoon in the center and is suspected to be related with the ETA, appeared to be residented at "Vrankrijk". During the raid, several items were confiscated. Furthermore, in one of the rooms in the building, a few replicas of weapons were found. These replicas do fall under the Law Weapons and Munition. The weapons do not belong to the Spanish suspect. There will be a resource to these weapons. During the raid, several small incidents took place between the present police and people who came to take a look. Nobody was arrested. |
