Wilders wants his new film website shut down? www - 05.03.2008 16:53
The publicity seeker this morning put the website for his still forthcoming film (www . fitnathemovie . com) online. It is only a 'coming soon page' at the moment, though he promises to use the site to distribute the film. He has chosen US megacorp Network Solutions Hosting. Network Solutions' Acceptable Use Policy contains the broadest restrictions of most major hosting providers http://www.networksolutions.com/legal/aup.jsp, barring “material that is obscene, defamatory, libelous, unlawful, harassing, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, constitutes an illegal threat, violates export control laws, hate propaganda, fraudulent material or fraudulent activity, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, profane, indecent or otherwise objectionable material of any kind or nature.” In addition, Network Solutions prohibits “material that encourages conduct that could constitute a criminal offense, gives rise to civil liability, or otherwise violates *any* applicable local, state, national or international law or regulation” or holds “Network Solutions (including its affiliates) or their employees or shareholders up to public scorn, ridicule, or defamation.” Which of these is he intending on failing to break when the film is released? How can he possibly expect to keep a website up against terms and conditions like those with all hassle he really wants to create? Even better publicity when it is removed? Is it all going to be like his person and politics - just there for show? |
