Rebel clowns & nieuwe actievormen!

Een inspirerende tour waarbij Rebel Clowns je langs de nieuw(st)e
actievormen leiden.
De andersglobaliseringsbeweguing zorgde voor aanzienlijk innovatie rond confronterende actievormen, zoals Tute Bianchi (White Overalls), Pink &
Silver en C.I.R.C.A. (Clandestine Insurgent Rebel Clown Army). Ondertussen kwamen ook allerlei communicatie guerrilla's op gang en zorgden voor schitterende interventies: The Yes Men, Reverend Billy, Biotic Bakers Brigades, Yomango, enz. Ook in Nederland ontstonden nieuwe initiatieven: SEALS viel een Haagsewapenbeurs binnen, het Rita Promotie Team 'hielp' Verdonk in haar verkiezingsstrijd en de Clown Army (CloLoNeL) en sambaband (Rhytms of Resistance) lieten vaak van zich horen. In september startte in Amsterdam een nieuwe clowngroep: Rebelact.
Op deze avond zullen we gezamenlijk kijken hoe deze actievormen
functioneren, en in welke context ze wel of niet werken: met unieke
beelden, hilarische filmfragmenten, gesprekken en debat. Na de terugblik op nieuwe actievormen uit Praag, Genua, Gleneagles en Heiligendamm, is er ruimte voor plannen voor toekomstige straatinterventies hier en in .........! Bovendien is er alle informatie over de Rebel Clown basistraining (14-15-16 dec.) en de totale make-over van Amsterdam: minder van hetzelfde, meer revoluties, minder leuzen, meer plezier, kapitalisme verkloten & clowniseren!
Waarschuwing: Dit is echt de eerste en laatste keer dat de Rebel Clowns
serieus gaan doen! Serieus!

Rebel clowns & new action forms!
An inspiring tour along the contemporary action forms provided by Rebel
Clowns
The alterglobalisation movement provided a context for the innovation of confrontational action forms, such as Tute Bianche (the White Overalls), Pink & Silver, and C.I.R.C.A. (Clandestine Insurgent Rebel Clown Army). Meanwhile, different forms of subversive communication resulted in great interventions: The Yes Men, Reverend Billy, Biotic Bakers Brigades, Yomango, etc. Also in the Netherlands new initiatives emerged: SEALS stormed an arms fair in The Hague, the Rita Promotion Team 'supported' Verdonk in her election campaign, the Clown Army (CloLoNeL) and the samba band (Rythms of Resistance) have frequently attracted attention. In September a new clown group was founded in Amsterdam: Rebelact.
During this evening we are going to take a look at how these
action forms function. Accompanied by unique pictures and hilarious film material, we want to discuss the ways in which they actually do (and don't) work. After the retrospection of new action forms in Prague,
Genoa, Gleneagles and Heiligendamm, there will be room for making plans for
future street intervention! Moreover, we will present all the relevant information for you to join the Rebel Clown basic training (14-16 December) and the total subversion of Amsterdam: less of the same, more revolutions, less slogans, more fun, screw up & clownonize capitalism!
Attention: this is really the first and the last time that Rebel Clowns
gonna be serious! Seriously!
