With this objective in mind, the historic human rights institutions have come together to organize a series of commemorative activities, entitled "Memoria y Esperanza," which will be held from August 19 to mid-October at the Salvador Allende Solidarity Museum in Santiago, Chile. The program reflects a specific facet of the history of those years, and pays tribute to the victims. It also hopes to contribute to the process of reconstructing a society on the foundation of a culture that respects human rights.
